Westfalia South Africa
Westfalia is the largest avocado grower in Southern Africa. We are also a major supplier of mangoes, various processed fruit products and other fruit. Our nurseries and research facilities are important contributors to the production of high-quality produce which are sold to local markets including fresh fruit retail markets, pre-packing operations and fruit processors and are exported to various countries.
Our Business
In South Africa we have the following activities:
- Farming – We have various estates, which are situated in the Limpopo Province (northern regions of South Africa) and the KwaZulu-Natal Province (Eastern regions of South Africa).
- Food Processing Division and Pack House – From offices in Politsi near the town Tzaneen, in the Limpopo Province we manage the production and processing of avocado oil, guacamole (avocado puree), dried fruit and fruit juice.
- Packing and Ripening – Our packing, pre-packing and ripening facilities are located on the estate in Modjajiskloof and we have ripening facilities in Klapmuts near Paarl, where we ripen and pack avocados and mangoes.
- Fresh Fruit Marketing – Westfalia Marketing South Africa is the largest exporter of South African avocados providing supply chain solutions direct from source.
- Human Resources – Westfalia Human Resources is about our people who are our most valuable asset. We strive to create a world-class company through employing world-class people within a performance-driven environment.
